This is the nickname for the Dinorwig power station in Wales. Pumped water is an energy storage technology which uses gravity to store energy. You pump water to a higher level with surplus energy and let it fall and drive turbines to generate energy when you need it. Dinorwig is one of the largest in Britain.
It can store an estimated 9.1 GWh. Because pumping and generation have power losses, the overall efficiency is quoted as 74-76% in the Wikipedia article.
